This was NOT your typicall romance! When we first met, we were both employed with the Montgomery County Jail, one a detention officer (Rochelle) and the other a medic and a reserve Deputy Sheriff (Royce). After clueless flirting, completely unaware of each other's feelings, a mutual friend played matchmaker middle man, and September 27, 2008 we had our first date.

After hours talking about anything and everything at a local Starbucks, it was love. Two weeks later, we were absolutely inseperable, and January 2009 we had moved in together in his Houston home. Since then the longest we've been apart is a few days, and we fall in love a little more every day.

April 16, 2009, we had reservations for dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant, Matsuri. When we got there, we had a private table in the back, and there were flowers and pictures of us covering the table. Tied to the flowers was a ring, and a note, asking "Would you marry me?" He even got down on one knee and everything!

So now, months later, we have a date, and a dress, but are still looking for the perfect place.
